Dr. Tooke received his
medical training in
Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
He joined the Guilford
Orthopaedic and Sports
Medicine Division of
Southeastern Orthopaedic
Specialists in 2005. Prior
to his arrival to GOSMC, Dr.
Tooke was engaged in private
orthopaedic practice in Los
Angeles for ten years. While
in Los Angeles, Dr. Tooke
served as the Chief of Staff
at the Los Angeles
Orthopaedic Hospital and as
President of the Los Angeles
Chapter of the Western
Orthopaedic Association. Dr.
Tooke previously served on
the faculties of the John
Hopkins and UCLA Schools of
Medicine. Dr. Tooke’s current practice is restricted to the treatment of adult spinal disorders including complex deformities, spinal column tumors, failed surgery and degenerative and traumatic problems. Dr. Tooke enjoys traveling back to Canada for rest and relaxation. Dr. Tooke resides in Greensboro with his wife and three daughters.

Dr. Wang is a native of
China. Dr. Wang joined the
Guilford Orthopaedic and
Sports Medicine Division of
Southeastern Orthopaedic
Specialists in 2006. Prior
to this Dr. Wang has worked
at UNC-Chapel Hill as a
clinical assistant professor
for three years. Dr Wang
brings a physical medicine
and rehabilitation
background to the practice.
With his specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Wang is able to assist his patients with their pain through both invasive and non-invasive procedures. Dr. Wang is skilled in the performance of spinal injections, performance and interpretation of electromyographic studies (EMG’s) and nerve conduction studies (NCV’s), as well as pain management interventions. Other clinical interests and skills include acupuncture and the use of botox to treat spasticity and pain. Dr. Wang chose physical medicine and rehabilitation as a specialty due to an interest in diagnosing and treating problems of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Wang describes his personal philosophy of care as, “believing in teamwork to collaborate and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to specially design a treatment program tailored for the patient.” |
