Post-Offer Pre-Employment Screenings
A
Post-Offer
Pre-Employment
Screening program is
a key component in
an effective work
injury prevention
program.
Post-offer tests are
designed and
administered to
determine a
prospective
employees ability to
safely perform job
requirements. The
test is performed
prior to employment,
is ADA and EEOC
compliant and
consists of a job
essential evaluation
including a full
medical history,
vital signs
testing and a
lifting evaluation.
The
primary purpose of
the Functional
Screening is to see
whether an
individual has the
ability to do a
job-related function
safely on a daily
basis.
Why Should I test my prospective employees?
- The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses conducted a case study with a large industrial employer that included 220 new hires and the results showed a 1% injury rate with the group tested and a 23% injury rate with the untested group.
